We are looking for a temporary replacement of a Transversal Risk Specialist in the Group Risk Function (1-year fixed term contract). In this role, you will be exposed to a wide range of enterprise-wide risk matters and contribute to the implementation and enhancement of our climate & environmental risk management framework, the Internal Capital and Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ICAAP/ILAAP), recovery & resolution planning, and internal and external risk reporting.

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Climate & Environmental (C&E) Risk Management
    • Risk identification and materiality assessment of physical and transition risks as part of the ICAAP
    • Support in the preparation of certain quantitative and qualitative disclosures via the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Pillar 3 Report 
    • Further development of risk quantification and stress testing approaches for C&E risk
    • Oversight of the C&E risk management framework; preparation of regular C&E risk reporting to Senior Management

 

  • Internal Capital and Liquidity Adequacy Assessment Process (ICLAAP)
    • Organisation of the annual risk identification and materiality assessment process for ICLAAP purposes
    • Regular review and update of key assumptions and methodological assumptions underlying the economic and normative perspective of the ICLAAP
    • Specification of adverse scenarios for the normative perspective and recovery planning
    • Compilation of the annual ICLAAP package to be submitted to the regulator

 

  • Recovery and resolution planning
    • Maintenance of governance and procedural arrangements for both the planning and execution of recovery and resolution
    • Review and update of recovery indicators and suite of recovery options, including feasibility and impact assessment
    • Preparation of annual resolution planning package and reporting 

 

  • Regulatory Watch: Screen and assess new regulation and supervisory practices with regards to enterprise risk frameworks

 

  • Internal and external risk reporting
    • Design, standardize, optimize and/or automate risk reports
    • Execute risk reporting/monitoring/escalation processes (for instance for the risk appetite) in line with internal policies & procedures

Knowledge and Experience

 

  • University degree, preferably in Economics, Finance, Law, Mathematics/Statistics, Engineering or similar
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience in (transversal) risk management matters, gained in a financial institution or consultancy firm
  • Knowledge of internal risk management concepts (risk appetite, ICLAAP, recovery & resolution planning etc.)
  • Knowledge of relevant EU banking regulation (CRR/CRD, SREP, EBA/ECB/BCBS guidelines etc.) and supervisory practices in the SSM
  • Experience with the asset/wealth management industry and custodian activities 
  • Project management skills
