Luxembourg; September 25, 2023: Quintet Private Bank, headquartered in Luxembourg and operating across Europe and the UK, announced today the appointment of Anna Zakrzewski as Group Chief Operating Officer and member of the Authorized Management Committee, subject to regulatory approval.
Zakrzewski earlier served for over two decades at Boston Consulting Group (BCG) as Managing Director & Partner, rising to member of BCG’s global Financial Institutions Leadership team and leading the Wealth Management segment globally for many years. She joins Quintet in Luxembourg today (September 25, 2023), and will work closely with outgoing Quintet Group COO Eli Leenaars over a transition period.
Leenaars is retiring from Quintet at the end of this year, following a career spanning nearly four decades in executive roles at four different banks in eight countries. He serves in a number of non-executive roles in the US and Europe and also has personal business interests that will require more of his time and attention.
“I am grateful to Eli for his important contribution to Quintet, including significantly enhancing our core processes, facilitating greater efficiency and increased collaboration in service to our clients,” said Group CEO Chris Allen. “At the same time, I am delighted to welcome Anna to our firm. Building on her distinguished track record leading and implementing large strategy programs, post-merger integrations, transformations and growth agendas in wealth management, Anna will play a key role in driving Quintet’s sustained success.”
“After many years as the trusted partner of leading wealth managers worldwide and advising them on how best to compete and build profitable, sustainable and future-proof business models, I am excited to join Quintet,” said Zakrzewski, a German national who was educated in the Middle East, Europe, the UK and Australia. “I look forward to the opportunity to put all my experience and passion for wealth management to work at Quintet, a private bank with a clear vision of the future and a service model with both client experience and client service at its center.”
“As I prepare to retire from Quintet to be able to dedicate more time and attention to my other activities, I look forward to working closely with Anna over a transition period and handing the reins to the next generation of leadership,” Leenaars concluded. “I am convinced that Quintet has all the ingredients to become a truly leading, client-focused bank. I would like to express my appreciation to all the members of my team for their dedication and every Quintet employee for their commitment to realizing the full potential of this unique firm.”
